Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda.

I'm beginning to realize that I should have talked way more smack over the last 6 years. It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly obnoxious Alabama fans are. Don't get me wrong, it sucks big donkey balls that we lost in such miserable fashion. We were worthless, not being able to score a single point. But let's look at it this way. We've sucked all year, was anyone truly surprised that we didn't show up for this game either? I talked with a few other Auburn fans before the game that were feeling pretty good going into it. I think we felt so good because we had absolutely nothing to lose. Nothing. If we lost, it was expected. If we won, well then, we would have just beat the number one team in the country.

Another conversation that came about after our loss was, who to pull for now? If you know me well enough, you know that I would pull for McCain/Palin or Osama Bin Laden before I would pull for Alabama. Want to know why? The Fans. Plain and simple. They annoy me. They, for the most part are not gracious winners. I can only think of a couple and I have to say thanks to Daddypeas for being one of those on Saturday. He and Mommapeas might actually be the most gracious, non-obnoxious Alabama fans ever. They are truly an exception to the rule.

I think your coach is a d-bag, but then again most great coaches are. I'm also jealous that he's coaching your team. He might actually put you into the National Championship game this year. This would force you to have to learn a new slogan, Got Thirteen? It's bad enough to have to listen to the chatter of a win over Auburn for an entire year, but to have to listen to that might make me rip my ears off. Remind me the next time we win (hopefully not in the too distant future) to unleash an un-holy amount of obnoxious hell on everyone I know that thinks Rammer Jammer, Yellow Hammer, Give em' hell Alabama, actually rhymes.

So, Chomp Chomp Bammer, I hope the Gators kick your miserable, obnoxious ass.

Thank you! I've been ranting it for years! My sister's hubby is a AL fan and he's gracious enough to keep it out of our faces (my hubby played at AU for 4 years and it's a divided family...)but they are more obnoxious every freakin year! They actually changed there fight song to say 'we beat the hell out of you' or something like that on Sat. Uggg! Thanks for your honesty!! War Damn Eagle Anyway!!!!

I'm an outsider, but I have noticed some obnoxious winners and it makes me laugh!! Do they realize what they sound like? And I keep wondering why they're so excited?!?! All I can gather is that they must be suprised they beat Auburn.
What do I know... I'm from Tennessee.

No sour grapes here! ;)

"Rammer Jammer, Yellow Hammer, Give em' hell Alabama"? Maybe they mean to say "Alabamer", then it would rhyme. Those obnoxious Alabama fans forget quickly that they lost to Auburn for the last SIX years and now they want to brag about ONE? We Auburn fans should stand proud and laugh in their face. Maybe Auburn felt generous this year and LET them win.
Much love,
Your Aunt

You yourself said you were "The Worlds Most Obnoxious Fan"! Not all Alabama fans are that why and there are just as many Auburn fans that do the same thing. Remember the "Fear The Thumb!" You Aubs could talk that much trash before so now you move on to rooting for the Gators! Typical Aubies!

I love that you tell it like it is. We had more people call us to rub it in our faces. For six years we never once called an AL fan to brag. Last year we even camped out with several AL fans (when AU won)and life was good, no in your face crap. There will be hell to pay for the coming years to all of those obnoxious fans and I can't wait. WAR EAGLE!!

Oh another anon... How I love these. You silly little Bammer fan, I believe that I did say "for the most part" and even recognized some gracious Alabama fans in my post. I'm not saying that "Aubs" don't talk trash, they just aren't obnoxious a-holes about it (for the most part) there are exceptions to every rule. As far as "moving on" well, you obviously don't know me, there is no moving on involved for me to pull for the Gators, that is something I would have done regardless of an Auburn loss to Bammer, I won't pull for UAT, period.

Working where I work, I wish you all could be there. I have become MORE obnoxious (used to not throw it in peoples faces) since working there. I endured over a year of AU fans coming in and being assholes thinking that their team is so much better than any other.

So what AU beat us 6 years in a row, that's in the PAST. Just like we beat AU 9 years in a row. It's all in the PAST.

People always want to say that Bama fans are more obnoxious, but I'm here to let everyone know that that's not the truth. Both teams have some serious OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLES rooting for them. AU fans are no better than UA fans, vice versa.

Everyone should accept that not both teams can be great each year.

And I think Tubby is a d-bag, LOL. Took him almost the entire speech Saturday night before he admitted that he was just beaten by a good team. And I HATE how he puts all the blame on himself instead of making the players take responsibility for how shitty they played.

As the shirt says, "Can't we all just get along? NEVER!!!!"

It's the Anon again! I wasn't being rude by any means I was just stating the obvious! One of my very best friends didn't say a word about the game last week. Didn't hear a peep. Now she says we are "Gator Bait" and that's ok, that's her nature not mine. This is pretty much the National Championship. I would love to see Bama win but I am for Florida as well so I'm ok either way!

I, for one, as an Alabama fan, have not rubbed it in any Auburn fans faces. I've got several friends who are Auburn fans, and I've been careful not to throw it in their faces about this win, because the thing about it is...it all comes around. You guys were up for a while on us, and now we've broken the streak. We might win a few in a row, but chances are, before too long, y'all will get the better of us again. That's how this thing works, and has worked for years.

I don't like it when "those kind of Alabama fans" make it bad for those of us who try and keep things in perspective. I just hope that you know which Alabama fans you know that aren't like that, and remember that even though you got hosed this year, we still love ya. :)

You can't possibly think that, as a whole, AU fans are any better than UA fans. The necks are always redder on the other side, huh?

Using phrases like "Bammer" and "UAT" is intended to be disrespectful and inciteful. You're not trying to be a gracious fan and I seriously doubt this was the first time you've uttered either of those. So how long have you been an ungracious AU fan? For a very long time would be my bet.

But I like it that way. What's the fun of winning if you can't be a little obnoxious. The last 6 years of pain have made this win that much sweeter. So stop whining about obnoxious fans. You're one of them. And I love you all the more for it.

Totally agree that Alabama fans are, as a rule, obnoxious. I am a UGA girl myself (and yes, our performance last week sucked big time). So being over here in "enemy territory," I've observed that Auburn fans are more gracious than Alabama fans. I can't even listen to the radio around game time. Drives me nuts.

I'm confused by the 13 reference? Alabama has won only 4 national championships - and I just double checked on Wikipedia to make sure of that. Apparently, they CLAIM more than the NCAA recognizes - which is pretty much shitty in my book. ND & SC are tied for the most ever at 11.

I'm not an SEC fan, but I really hope Florida does NOT win.

Not sure what you read, they have won 12 National and 20 something SEC titles. Interested to know what you were reading though, I've never heard that about claiming more than the NCAA recognizes...
