Monkey See, Monkey Blurts Out

Munchkin and I had a great day yesterday, mostly just running errands, but it was some much needed Mommy/Munchkin time.. My mom was here keeping the twins and that allowed me to have a day to focus on my number 1.

After getting the car washed and cleaned I decided to swing by the mall and look for a new pair of sunglasses. I had seen a really cute pair of Jessica Simpson's a couple of weeks ago but really didn't need them, so I decided to put my wallet away and forgo the new shades. On Sunday, the sunglass gods were either pissed at me or were trying to do me a favor by knocking them off my head and breaking the frame.. New glasses for me! Yay.

I didn't feel like driving back to the Summit, and that department store has a location in the mall closer to my house, so off we went. Once we get there I realize of course, that the selection is not the same. Not even close. I was a little frustrated that their selection sucked so bad. I found a couple that were ok, but couldn't find a mirror to look in. The closest mirror was over in the jewelry department, and walking back and forth trying to keep up with a Toddler is just too much of a hassle. As I was putting the glasses back I mumbled something about how ridiculous it was to not have a mirror by the glasses. As we are walking out of the store, an older lady working the jewelry counter started a conversation with the Munchkin, when she asked if there was something she could help us with, the Munchkin replied: "No, this is ridiculous, we are going to find a mirror."

I laughed awkwardly and a managed to mutter that we were actually looking for sunglasses... When will I learn that this child is a sponge - a sponge with a very large mouth and an excellent vocabulary!
