Birds!

Munchkin: Look Mommy, at the birds.

Me: Yes baby, those are called Robins, aren't they pretty?

Munchkin: Can I go step on them?

Me: No sweetie, that's not a good idea.

Munchkin: Why?

Me: Because they will peck your toes off....

Was that the right answer?

Hmmm... right answer. "Right" is subjective. IMO, you chose the fast way to a good result. I think you're on to something. She can figure it out on her own later :)

That was quick thinking on your part! Step on them? Is she not dealing well with the twins' arrival?? Although, considering mine told me he did not want a new brother today but a new sticker, you just never know what they'll come up with.....

I don't know about "right" but my little one thought it was hilarious!!! We just adore your little Munchkin!!!! We can hardly wait to see what influence she has on her sisters.
With much love,

I don't even care that was freaking funny. You'll keep her from stomping birds for awhile...it's a brightside. =)

LOL! It reminded me of those "Deep Thoughts" skits on SNL in the '90's.

This one was my favorite:

"My son asked me today, Daddy, why is it raining?"

I replied, "Because God is crying."

"Why is God crying?" he asked.

"I don't know...probably because of something you did."

Deep Thoughts...by Jack Handy.

Ha! Ha! Jack Handy couldn't have said it better. Ha! Ha!

I think it's hilarious.

Next step would be to show her the movie The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock.

That'll keep her away from birds for oh, 80 years or so...
